Dr. Jaimin Amin, MD, MS

Dr. Jaimin Amin is a Chicago native, born and raised in the Southwest suburbs. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and medical school at Rush University Medical Center. He completed his internal medicine residency training at UCLA-Olive View in Los Angeles and his gastroenterology and advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellowships at Rush University Medical Center. He also holds a master’s degree in clinical research from Rush University Graduate College.


Dr. Amin is a board-certified gastroenterologist who specializes in advanced/therapeutic endoscopy, including EUS and ERCP. His clinical interests include early colon cancer detection, benign and malignant pancreaticobiliary disorders, chronic pancreatitis, challenging luminal interventions (large polyp resection, Barrett’s therapy, endoluminal stenting, early esophageal/colon cancer resection), and endoscopic reflux surgery such as transoral incisional fundoplication (TIF).


He is an active member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for
Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and American College of Gastroenterology.


Dr. Amin strongly believes that "every single one of our patients should feel heard and
advocated for no matter what language or culture they come from."

In Dr. Amin’s free time, he enjoys time with his four kids and wife, listening to and making music, and watching the Chicago Bulls and Bears.
